BBC Home Front in the Garden commissioned architectural wire mesh to be installed as part of a garden design for their popular TV series featuring Dairmuid Gavin.
A variety of wire mesh patterns were used to create structures within the garden:
Chelsea Expanded Metal security screens at Highbury Substation, Seven Sisters, London.
The 3D rhomboid form of the expanded metal mesh screening was designed to match the etched-concrete sculptural wall on which it is fixed.
The brief was to continue the bold theme whilst not blocking light to the adjacent dwellings.
Chelsea expanded metal mesh was chosen as it can appear both transparent and opaque simultaneously, depending on the viewer’s perspective.
The Locker-designed framework was powder-coated bronze to complement the vernacular brickwork.
Huskisson architectural cable mesh installed as staircase cladding at plot 2.2, Green Park, Reading.
The mesh was fabricated as a continuous single form, 16 metres high. The mesh creates an aesthetically pleasing effect and provides the required security level along with a fire rating of '0'. Huskisson architecural cable mesh was the perfect solution for this client.
Brocklebank Triple Architectural Wire Mesh façade installed at an Energy Recovery Plant at Ham, Portsmouth.
St David architectural mesh security screening at Berth Cruise Terminal, Southampton.
The pre-galvanised mesh provides a secure knife-proof barrier to enclose port luggage scanning equipment. The wide aperture, herringbone weave of the mesh is strong but also semi-transparent, to provide a high level of visibility to security staff and cameras outside the barrier.
Gladstone PC 100/10 architectural pre-crimped mesh installed as decorative security screening at Antrim Golf Club, Northern Ireland.
As part of a clubhouse extension project, a covered walkway was built to facilitate movement between two buildings. The Gladstone PC mesh was specified for its combination of visual appeal and practical strength.
Biscay 7 architectural wire mesh installed as mesh curtains at the British Film Institute, London.
The mesh acts as an innovative acoustic baffle and a visual break to the ceiling. The curtain configuration allows for unimpeded operation of air conditioning and sprinklers.

Soho XL expanded Aluminium mesh, powder coated gold and used as a ceiling grid infill at Turtle Bay Restaurant in Winchester.
Credit to Concept Display Systems Ltd for the pictures and installation of this mesh.
