BBC Home Front in the Garden commissioned architectural wire mesh to be installed as part of a garden design for their popular TV series featuring Dairmuid Gavin.
A variety of wire mesh patterns were used to create structures within the garden:
Locker Architectural Brocklebank 20/5 supplied in natural finish aluminium, used to form an illuminated backdrop in this quirky cocktail bar.
Thanks to The Megaro Hotel for supplying us with the great pictures.
Brocklebank 20/5 architectural mesh installed as fire escape staircase screening at Reading International, Reading.
Aluminium Brocklebank 20/5 architectural wire mesh façade cladding on top of University of Essex student accommodation.
The student accommodation requires an amount of plant on the roof; heating and air conditioning units, fans and ducting. The mesh enclosure effectively hides the unsightly plant from the view of people in the adjacent Library which is several floors higher and overlooks the Student Centre. The left hand enclosure is accessed from inside the building and has two double gates onto the roof and second enclosure. The latter is entered via a double gate in the centre. The library building itself has a similar enclosure but with no mesh roof as it is not overlooked. The enclosures are made from galvanised steel beams with our aluminium ‘Olympic’ extrusion as cross supports. The mesh is then screwed either through the steel work or into our extrusion depending which edge it is. The gates all have twin locks for added security.
Brocklebank 20/5 architectural pre-crimped wire mesh installed as security screening at the underground Midtown Cycle Vault at Bloomsbury Square, London. Described as "the safest place in Midtown to leave your bike" the mesh panels provide a secure barrier between a private residential car park and a public cycle facility in the exclusive Bloomsbury Square area of London. Vertical strip lighting and diagonal bracing bars provide a contemporary design in keeping with the surroundings.
The Stainless steel AISI316L mesh pattern was modified for this project to aperture 25mm x 5mm. The mesh was fabricated into 50cm x 50cm hot dipped galvanised frames with powder coated bracing bars in Orange RAL 2003.
